The Domain- Saturday, November 23. Free family-friendly entertainment will kick off at noon. Enjoy children’s holiday music, face painting, caricature drawings, balloon twisting and holiday crafts near iPic Theaters. Carolers will be strolling around throughout the day and there will be live music on two stages set up near Starbucks and iPic Theaters. In the evening, enjoy live music by acclaimed singer and songwriter, Phil Vassar, and a special performance by Outside Voices, a local children's choir, who will take the stage before the headliner. The event will culminate in the lighting of the tree by Santa Claus, followed by a fireworks show. All free and no tickets are required.
Chuy's Children Giving to Children Parade - Saturday, November 30 at 11 a.m. The parade will last approximately an hour and a half. It will begin on the south side of the State Capitol and go south down Congress Avenue, ending at the north side of Congress Avenue bridge. Bring along a new toy to donate to the Operation Blue Santa Program.
Zilker Tree Lighting - Sunday, December 1 at 6 p.m. Join the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department for the annual lighting of the holiday tree. Free. Pre-event music starts at 5:30 p.m. and the event begins at 6 p.m. Bring money for food and novelty vendors onsite. The tree will then be on display December 2-31, from 6 p.m. - midnight.
Texas State Capitol - Saturday, December 7, from 6 - 9 p.m. The annual Holiday Sing-Along and Downtown Stroll are free and open to the public. The evening starts at 6 p.m. when crowds gather on the south steps of the Capitol to sing the songs of the season during KUTX 98.9 "Eklektikos" host John Aielli’s Holiday Sing-Along. As the clock strikes 7 p.m., the countdown to the lighting of the Capitol tree begins, featuring a programmed light show at the top and bottom of every hour, set to holiday songs of local Austin musicians. From 7 to 9 p.m. Congress Ave. will be abuzz with holiday cheer during the Downtown Stroll. Shops, restaurants, galleries and museums will be open late and will feature special activities and offers. The highlight of this year’s event is an aerial dance performance by Blue Lapis Light at 816 Congress, “Love’s Prayer”.
Trail of Lights - December 8 - 22, from 7 - 10 p.m. The Trail of Lights winds through 1.25 miles of Zilker Park. For two magical weeks in December, over 50 stunning custom displays (many updated for 2013) light up the night, bringing Austinites together to celebrate the season. Come make memories with the ones you love and enjoy uniquely Austin eats, fun for the kiddos, and performers including musicians, dancers, and carolers. General Admission to the Trail of Lights is free. A limited number of parking tickets are available for purchase at Zilker Park. Parking must be purchased online, in advance. There will be shuttles, if you would prefer to park off-site. New this year is the opportunity to purchase a Zip Fast Pass, allowing you to enter the Trail of Lights before General Admission opens.
Mozart's Coffee Roasters - Now through December 31. Mozart's hosts a free 10-minute light show at the top of each hour, starting at 6 p.m. 3825 Lake Austin Blvd.
River of Lights - November 29 - December 31, from 6 - 9 p.m.The River of Lights features 120 lighted displays and music. The trail continues all the way down the Lower Colorado River to Ferry Park, about a half mile. Free. Fisherman's Park, 1200 Willow St, Bastrop.
Lighted Christmas Parade- Saturday, December 14. More than 100 entries—from fanciful floats to fire trucks, from Honey Bears to longhorns, from Santa’s helpers to the man himself—will light up the Main Street night for this joyful Bastrop tradition, produced by the Bastrop Downtown Business Alliance.
Hill Country Galleria- Thursday, November 21 at 6 p.m. Enjoy holiday music by The Vintage 15, face painting, and holiday carolers. Santa will arrive at 7 p.m. to light the holiday tree, which will be followed by a free firework show!
4th Annual Buda Trial of Lights - Friday, December 13 - Sunday, December 22, from 6 - 10 p.m. Christmas cheer radiates throughout the season! Food, fun, and holiday splendor await visitors to enjoy a spectacular display of twinkling lights illuminating Historic Stagecoach Park with various Winter Wonderland themes. Holiday Tree Lighting and Santa's Workshop- Friday, December 6, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. Over 60,000 lights will illuminate the largest Live Oak Tree in Cedar Park. Santa's Workshop will kickoff immediately following the tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy live music, carriage rides, games & prizes, inflatables, photos with Santa, and arts & crafts projects. Lighted Christmas Parade- Saturday, December 7. Sponsored by the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department, this annual parade is a favorite of the locals as well as the many visitors it attracts. You will be sure to enjoy the creativity and diversity of the many floats. This event takes place the first Saturday of December at dusk. The parade route follows Main Street from 11th to Brenham.
Lighting of the Square - November 29 at 5:30 p.m. Come sing along with the Austin Carolers to your favorite holiday tunes and warm your tummy with cookies and hot chocolate! Watch as the Courthouse and the Downtown Square become a Holiday Wonderland! Downtown Square.
Christmas Stroll- December 6, from 5 - 10 p.m. and December 7, from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Watch a hometown holiday parade (Saturday, December 7 at 10 a.m.), visit Whoo-Village, enjoy live entertainment, sample tempting treats in the food court and browse 200 arts and crafts booths! Town Lighting- Saturday, December 7, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. Watch as Cowboy Kringle rides into town on horseback and lights Gruene for the Holidays. Celebrating with live musical performances with festival food and wine available for purchase. Afterwards, get some holiday shopping done at Gruene's 30+ stores, cozy up to a fireplace for dinner at the Gristmill, head over to Mozie's for a cold one, or stop by the Hall for the show that evening. Let There Be Lights- November 29 at 6:30 p.m. Johnson City, one of the largest Light Displays in the State, will have millions of lights. Local homes, businesses and churches add their displays to the stunning 100,000 lights on the Blanco County Courthouse. The Courthouse, the centerpiece, will be open on Saturday and Sunday nights from 6 - 9 p.m. with a tree, the sale of ornaments and crafts from the Garden Club. Johnson City’s Christmas gift to you and your family will be aglow each night until midnight from November 29, 2013 through January 1, 2014. Admission to all events is free. To kick off the celebration, on November 29, Santa will arrive and there will be a fireworks show.
Lights On!- Friday, December 6, from 6:30 - 9 p.m. The City of Lakeway will sponsor its annual "Lights On!" Holiday Celebration in the Lakeway City Hall parking lot (1102 Lohmans Crossing at the corner of Sailmaster) and the area directly behind City Hall. Children of all ages are invited to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus on this most magical of nights. Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph will 'plug in' the Trail of Lights display and be available to speak to all of Lakeway's good little boys and girls. The Trail of Lights will be lit for the first time this season and continue nightly from 6 p.m. - midnight through the end of the month. Other festivities will include the official dedication of the historic Liebelt Cabin. Delicious hot dogs and Cuban sandwiches will be available for purchase along with hot chocolate, coffee and snowcones. Activities will include cookie decorating and marshmallow roasting. S'mores packets will be available from Scout Troop 52. Please, no dogs at this event. Admission is free. Parking is available at the Lakeway Activity Center at 105 Cross Creek and at the Village Square near the corner of Lakeway Drive and Porpoise. There will be no parking available at City Hall for this event.
Trail of Lights - December 6 - December 31, from 6:30 p.m. - midnight. The Trail of Lights display is located just behind Lakeway City Hall and may be accessed by parking either at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road, or at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek Road. Come see thousands of twinkling lights! See amusing tableaus, all accompanied by delightful seasonal music! For those attending who may be in wheelchairs or for those with baby carriages, please park at City Hall and access the Trail by walking down the front sidewalk to the right and around the building. Bicycles and motorized vehicles such as Lil' Rascals and golf carts are not permitted. No dogs, please. Free.

Lighted Christmas Parade- Friday, December 6 at 7 p.m. The annual “Lighted Christmas Parade” is a fantastic display of lights that travels around the Courthouse Square. For information about the parade, download theParade Route or call the Lockhart Chamber at 512-398-2818. Then, following the parade on Friday night and all day Saturday, the holiday celebration continues with “A Dickens’ Christmas in Lockhart”. The Friends of the Dr. Eugene Clark Library host this festival located on S. Main in front of the Library and Market Street on the south side of the square. This unique community event features authentic Victorian decorations, choirs, jugglers, bagpipers, carriage rides, and the culmination on Saturday evening… the lighting of the Yule Log. Once lit, the Lord High Mayor announces the proclamation that Christmas has come to light. Then the library and the historic downtown are lit with thousands of lights. Christmas Light Parade - Saturday, December 14, starting at 5:30 p.m. The Christmas Light Parade will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus. Rock'N Lights Holiday Light Tour - December 2 - 31, from 6 - 9 p.m. Come and experience the Rock’N Lights Holiday Light Tour at Old Settler's Park, from the comfort of your car. With 2 million lights, the 1.5-mile path is the must-see event of the season. The 2013 show features all new displays and a longer light tunnel. Admission for the tour is $15 per family vehicle.
